Cetus Software and Year 2000

To better serve our customers, Cetus Software Inc. has prepared the following Year 2000 compliance statement. In essence, we believe that Cetus Software products should not be affected when the Year 2000 arrives.

CETUS SOFTWARE YEAR 2000 (Y2K) COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

Cetus Software products do not store or use two digit date codes. In addition, registered copies of Cetus Software products do not process any information based upon any dating structure at all. (Unregistered copies of Cetus Software products do keep track of elapsed time during the evaluation period using standard Windows programming methods.)

Of course, no software product can be better than the developer tool with which it is written, and no software product can be better than the operating system and the hardware on which it is used. We would like you to know that all Cetus Software ~shareware~ products are written using Microsoft developer tools, for use exclusively on Microsoft Windows platforms. Specifically, Cetus Software ~shareware~ products for use with Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 are written with Microsoft Visual Basic 3.0, while Cetus Software products for use with Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT Workstation 4.0 are written with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. Obviously, Cetus Software products are used on a great variety of hardware configurations, and both the performance and the Year 2000 compliance of these various hardware configurations are beyond both our knowledge and our control.
