Cetus Scout is being provided at no cost to registered users of StormWindow who may wish to provide limited access to files, after preventing Explorer from running with StormWindow. With Scout, users can run executable files, and open data files associated with programs. However, files and directories may not be created, deleted, copied, moved, or renamed. Cetus Scout, therefore, offers a more secure file browser for StormWindow-protected PC's.

Cetus Scout will show only the drives allowed to be visible by StormWindow (notice that Drive C: has been hidden in the picture above), but (if there is sufficient interest) future versions of Cetus Scout may allow the administrator to configure it so that only selected directories would be visible to the guest user.

To install Cetus Scout after downloading and unzipping, copy Scout.exe to any directory, and then create a shortcut to Scout.exe on the Desktop or on the Start Menu, for easy access to it.

NOTE: Cetus Scout may be used ONLY on a PC with a registered copy of StormWindow installed on it.
